In Color Block Jam, Level 149 centers around one big goal: destroy the “60” block located in the bottom-center. This high-hit tile is tightly boxed in, with multiple large blocks forming a maze of twists and turns around it. The board features directional arrows, mostly limiting lateral movement, which means you'll need to open vertical paths from above to reach the center.
The 60-hit requirement is one of the highest seen in early levels, and without a direct opening at the start, you must first do the groundwork. The directional arrows add pressure by limiting options for recovering from poor slides.
Step 1: Focus on the Orange Cross Block
Start by clearing the orange cross-shaped block in the center-top area. Slide adjacent blocks (like the green and blue ones beside it) to make room. This step is crucial—it opens the vertical path to the “60” tile below.
Step 2: Remove the Upper Green and Orange Blocks
After clearing the cross, eliminate the green and orange horizontal blocks directly above the “60”. These are part of the bottleneck. Slide them left/right where arrow tiles allow, or break surrounding pieces to make them movable.
Step 3: Open the Vertical Attack Lane
Use vertical blocks (such as the purple or orange ones from above) and slide them straight down the middle lane. This gives you your first few hits on the “60” tile. Don’t rush to clear side areas yet, focus your attack down the center.
Step 4: Use Repeated Vertical Hits
After your first strike, follow up with consecutive vertical pieces. Ideally, you’ll rotate in new pieces of matching colors purple, blue, or orange so they land multiple hits in a row. Every slide should deal direct damage to the “60”.
Step 5: Avoid Wasting Time on the Bottom Edges
Ignore the bottom-left and bottom-right unless you're stuck. Those pieces look tempting to clear but don’t open access or deal direct hits to the target. Time is limited (1:50), so every move should be about breaking that core block.
Step 6: Use Right-side Orange and Green L-Blocks Strategically
You may need to reposition the L-shaped blocks from the right side to form straight lines. Convert them into vertical paths once space opens up so you can deliver the last few hits more efficiently.
Step 7: Finish with Precision
As you reach the final 10–15 hits, rotate in longer vertical blocks one by one and avoid unnecessary slides. The final phase should be a clean, uninterrupted sequence of downward strikes.
Color Block Jam Level 149 is all about pressure management and deliberate movement. The massive “60” tile might look intimidating, but with clear vertical lanes and well-placed color strikes, you’ll break it down steadily and beat the level just in time.
